After showers & rest at the hotel, we drove back into Montreal for dinner. On the way we stopped at the Olympic Park to take some pics of GBMINI with a cool background! And after dinner, a few more pics of Montreal:
We returned to the track on Saturday to watch more practise sessions; there was also a “Formula BMW” race which provided some entertainment (admittedly rather quieter & slower than the F1 cars!)
Saturday was much hotter than Friday – only survived one practise session before returning to the hotel for a much needed shower!
After Corteo, we got a taxi into “modern” Montreal and headed to Peel Street to see the BMW/MINI sponsored gathering of MINIs – part of the activities associated with F1. To be honest it was a little disappointing because none of the owners were present – I think they all were having dinner somewhere. Still, there were lots of people checking out the cars …
