The snows are mostly still around – it was nearly always well below freezing while I was in California last week; but a strong sun did some melting, that quickly froze again! Here are icicles dripping off rocks on my way to work:

Finally able to leave CMEC on Saturday after a long (but not busy enough!) working week, I had time to re-visit somewhere I’d been once before – Monterey, and Highway 1 towards Big Sur … But it just wasn’t as nice as it was 2-1/2 years ago!
(I did see 3 MINIs, but no GPs!)
Goose Cove Reservoir – Frozen
It’s been a cold winter so far, and Goose Cove Reservoir is quite frozen! I took a walk out on to the ice today, to take pictures – another sunny, cold day, but the wind blowing across the ice was bitter!
