Birthday Splash

After a morning watching F1 qualifying, and enjoying the sun & pool, we headed over to Disney Magic Kingdom this afternoon (6pm-10pm).
Disney has a special birthday offer that includes free admission – but we have an annual pass so instead we could choose a special “fast pass” card which gives us up to eight instant fast passes for rides!
So we headed to Buzz Lightyear (Margaret’s fave), then Space Mountain (which Margaret skipped), then over to Splash Mountain followed by Thunder Mountain … for the first time, I managed to keep eyes open and hands off, during the Splash Mountain big drop!

And here’s another picture, of me wet – note my Disney birthday badge, and the special Disney “fast pass” card I’m holding!

The Snake!

We’re back in Florida, for a long weekend (and my birthday 🙂 )
Earlier, I opened the pool filter cover and lifted out the thermometer to see how warm the pool was (it was 90f) – and off leapt a small snake, back in to the pool!
He happily swam away across the pool, keeping well away from me and my “rescue” attempts.

I got the pool net, and fished it out – but back in it went! Fished out again, and rushed to get it outside the lanai so it couldn’t rejoin the pool (even if it likes it, we don’t want to risk hurting it when we go in the water!)

It stayed for a while, perhaps in shock, or waiting for us to stop watching … then suddenly it wasn’t there any more; hopefully it’ll find somewhere else nice to live!

Back to GP

For a long weekend at least …
Instant start (the Duracell battery maintainer works!) and no apparent tire flattening – but even not using the handbrake while away, her brakes are rusty and grumbling.
She still makes that amazing supercharger whine though – sorry, all you R56 owners 😉
