Work to home

A drive I do every day, Essex to Gloucester along route 133 and 128; through Essex and in to Gloucester, the road is quiet, tree-lined, and quite pretty:

But route 128 is very different, two lanes each way and currently busy & backed up at commuter time, due to the bridge work; and over the bridge, a single narrow (by American standards) lane instead of two:

There’s some hope though … the bridge work was promised to cease for summer, so as not to inconvenience tourists (doesn’t matter about us locals, of course!), and it looks like they’re about to give us two (narrow) lanes – there’s very little equipment left now.

The bench

One of my favourite things in the garden – I just love how it looks, with nature (Ivy & Lichen) slowly taking it over! Margaret wants me to discard it, or replace it with a bench that could actually be sat on, but I keep refusing!

In the same area of the garden, is one very happy & successful Hosta (that will get MUCH bigger as the year progresses); a few other Hostas that don’t grow so big, too …
