Finally, we got brave and spent the $16 each to go to the top of the Stratosphere hotel – and the view was almost worth the cost!

I always find walking South on the strip more impressive than walking North, but there’s still stuff to see so off we go …

We headed North from Bellagio, past Caesars Palace, Venetian, Mirage, TI, Wynn, eventually to the Stratosphere:

That last one, the Fontainebleau hotel, would be all new if they had not gone bankrupt and stopped building! One of a number of failed projects in Las Vegas, in this economy …

That is, the view from our Bellagio hotel room at night, both when the fountain show is running, and when not … Beautiful!
