Mushrooms at work

It’s been a great Summer this year, in this area at least. Lots of rain to make everything green, lots of sun to make it all grow – and lucky for us the high winds were not too bad for the North Shore.
One result, lots of mushrooms / fungus growing in the mulch and under the trees at work – here’s a few pictures:

And no, I have no idea what names they have – though a quick Google search suggests the top one is “Fly Agaric” and poisonous!

Addition re-construction #5

All boxed in now! Sheetrock and cement board hides the chimney …

Tomorrow, the sheetrock gets skim coated, then we need everything tiled; we’re waiting on Tessera to come up with a design. We also need new flooring – you can see that the carpet is gone now, but we’ve still not decided a color / texture for the hardwood floor.

There’s plans too for all new furniture (Boston Interiors maybe), and a cabinet to the right of the fireplace for the stereo equipment … it’s amazing how complex this is getting (and that’s without figuring a new room lighting scheme, new window drapes, etc, etc!)

A day later, it’s all plastered and the construction holes have vanished too!

GPMINI for sale?

GPMINI got another (rare) wash today – she’s not driven much now, and normally remains at work during the weekend so this is her first wash since June (unless you count the “partial wash” from MINI of Peabody last month) – but when she’s clean, she still looks “good as new”:

The duck has travelled with GPMINI since Las Vegas during MINI Takes The States 2006 – there was one in the Westin Hotel bathroom but I wasn’t brave enough to swipe it … but George did for me, instead!

Five years of ownership, 47,000 miles of memories – but she doesn’t get driven much now and I must admit that I don’t miss driving her so much these days … I’m thinking maybe it’s time to find her a new owner!
