The warm summer months bring many activities to Gloucester – early of course there is July 4 (see last years Independance Day celebrations), and in August there is the Sidewalk Bazaar and the Waterfront Festival, both organized by the Cape Ann Chamber Of Commerce.
The Sidewalk Bazaar has Main Street closed to traffic, allowing shops to spread out onto the street and many other stalls to move in – a shopping bonanza for locals & tourists!
More recently there was the Gloucester Waterfront Festival; this always begins with the Rotary Club Pancake breakfast; after breakfast there are again many arts & crafts stalls to visit – although this year it was very misty by the ocean …
