Many readers will know about 42, the ultimate answer – some may even know how thrilled I was when we bought our first (and so far only) home in USA and it was number 42!
So when MickyD on MINI2 sent me a link to this site, after being surprised by the content I was doubly entertained by the product name, “42 below”.

The ad was just a little something we did on the web for when the British Lions came down to play the All Blacks in rugby earlier this year. (By the way, the British Lions supporters were all top blokes to a man and it was a pleasure having them in the country). So it never appeared on television…. and knowing the prudish nature of most television stations it never will!
Generally New Zealanders quite like the British purely because they hate the French who we also despise. And we wanted to make something to give the Lions supporters a bit of a laugh.
Funnily enough it was actually quite hard to find a mini with a Union Jack on the roof to use… and I had a devil of a time changing
the color of the car.
42 Below vodka is damn good stuff.
I just brought 2 bottles of it back from NZ with me – bit pricey though ($42NZ for a litre (tax-free), Absolute vodka was $30NZ).
Now I have a bottle to drink for each month of waiting before my Cooper arrives 🙂
