We took Pat’s son Michael to Boston South Station today – he’s heading down to Philadelphia to visit family for a week; sadly he was traveling on a slower train, not one of these nice high-speed Acela ones:
A Heron visits the pond!
We got a phone call from Joanne next door this evening: “Warning, there’s a Heron at your fish pond!”; so of course I rushed out with camera in hand … Margaret also rushed out, and got closer so that the Heron flew away:
The fish did not seem bothered at all, so I don’t think it had been there long enough to threaten them – but now it might return 😦
Douglas Adams
An exciting, recently discovered, CD:
This is Douglas Adams reading The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy, live in London, 1995 – he reads excerpts from various parts of the (six book!) trilogy, and reads them well – listening to the CD on my way to/from Boston recently was a great pleasure.
I never knew that Douglas Adams read his books live anywhere!
