Thomas E Lannon Videos

I recently bought a new camera – primarily so that during MINI Takes The States I can easily take video as well as still pictures (my old camera didn’t do good video, and I don’t want to take a camcorder as well!)

So here are two videos I took on the PG Trionic Tenth Anniversary Thomas E Lannon trip:
The first is “Haul Away”, sung while Lisa & Roberto help to pull up one of the main sails; click here to download (5MB)
The second is “Big Jump”, where one of the crew climbs to the very top of the mast and jumps into the ocean, for a bet; click here to download (4MB)

(both videos require Apple Quicktime)

Ten Years – The Thomas E Lannon

In celebration of more than ten years in business at PG Trionic, Christian invited a group of friends to spend an evening on the Thomas E Lannon, a 65ft schooner built in the late 1990s in Essex … We enjoyed good food, great views and the company of friends including Christian, Marie Catherine (with Al), Letizia, Roberto, Matthew, Virginie and Greg, Scott, Warren, Gib, Donny, and many others … The weather was perfect, not too cool and almost totally calm waters – a really nice way to spend an evening!

Lunatic Rain

Tonight it rained incredibly heavy, with wild lightning and thunder, for an hour or so!

Pat & Dave next door just had new drainage put in their garden, so they had soil instead of grass – the immense amount of water washed down soil from their garden into ours, and filled the pond with water and dirt! There was also so much rain that the gutters & drainage of our house (put in in 2001 after a flooded basement) was overwhelmed, and we had about 1/2″ water in the basement. Luckily we caught it before it got too bad, and nothing was damaged.
