Also, Aesthetic Creations is providing four $50 gift certificates, and H-Sport is offering an H-Sport sway bar set (your choice of sport or competition set-up.

MINIsOnTop 2006 Sponsors #6

This is the final MINIsOnTop 2006 sponsors update – sorry it’s late but I’ve been somewhat busy recently, also waiting for confirmation from a few late sponsors …

First up is “Pinky”, a custom model MINI personally signed by Penn & Teller!

This model was provided by MINIsOnTop “yellow hat” volunteer Michael (M2Smith), then disassembled, painted pink, and rebuilt by Julian of Sublime Restorations. Meanwhile, the roof was signed by Penn & Teller. This prize, along with the many other donations, will be available as a “door prize” to someone present at MINIsOnTop – every registrant gets five door prize tickets, and more can be bought for just $1 each!

Sublime Restorations has also donated some other excellent gift certificates: An Autobahnd install on your MINI, two panels of paintless dent removal, and $500 towards any paint / body-work! Sublime Restorations is an excellent local body shop; they also did the painting on my union jack roof on GBMINI#2, and my “S” design and painted bonnet stripes on GBMINI#3.

Craven Speed has donated a great collection, including a 2% over-drive crank pulley and 5% alternator pulley, a hat & shirt and two custom engraved antennas.

Cambridge Soundworks (via Michael / M2Smith) has donated a Radio CD 740 table radio – it won’t fit your MINI, but it’s very nice anyway ๐Ÿ™‚

Whalen Shift Machine (via Rich) has donated another custom gear shift knob (as he did in 2005 and 2004); better gear shifting and a much nicer feel than stock (but freezing cold in the winter!)

Towne MINI are donating a huge collection of stuff including a MINI convertible pedal car, remote control MINI, sports watch and an assortment of MINI clothing.

MOT2006 packing day

Just back from vacation, I had more than 10 MINIsOnTop “yellow hat” volunteers arrive at my office yesterday to pack the 250 registrations ready for mailing …ย Every package has a pile of tourist information (including discount coupons at the North Conway outlet shops), loads of route instructions and MINIsOnTop event info, a freebie antenna ball, auto road and food passes (if purchased), Tshirts/Hats/Grille badges/Clings (again, if purchased), door prize tickets … the helpers set up a “production assembly line” and incredibly completed the job in only a couple of hours!

Also seen for the first time yesterday was model MINIs customized with the MOT logo (these will be available to kids at the event), and the custom painted pink model MINI signed by Penn & Teller (they own a pink MINI so this one is a trbute to that, and signed by them – the model was donated by Michael, and disassembled, painted and rebuilt by Julian at Sublime Restorations – one of his donations to MINIsOnTop!)

The pink MINI will be a door prize at MINIsOnTop, available to some lucky winner!

After all the MINIsOnTop packing efforts, I arranged a surprise visit to a friends classic car body shop (Scuderia Donati), where some rare classic cars were in various stages of repair (my previous visits have been written up as Supercars and Ferrari):
