GBMINI meets another MINI

Went for a nowhere drive today – at the mall I met another Indi Blue Cooper; Nicola (the owner) just got it yesterday. Coincidentally her husband is called Ian, and he drives the same car as my wife Margaret – an SLK 230! But he is already being tempted to switch to a second MINI:

After the mall I visited MINI Peabody, then drove route 127 from Beverly through Manchester, Gloucester and Rockport and back to home – a nice meandering route, but heavily populated so sensible speeds only!

MINI Peabody rally

What a great day we had today … went to the MINI Peabody Rally; over 40 MINIs met up this morning, got slightly suspect rally directions, and cruised round the area for a couple of hours through some very pretty scenery (sorry no pics of the drive – too busy driving!)

After a few unplanned detours, everyone headed back to the dealership for free food & drinks, and discounted merchandise. Martin (the Manager) handed out some excellent trophies to the three “closest to correct drive time” MINI owners.
