We headed over to Western Massachusetts today (300 mile round-trip – achieving 19mpg in the Q5!), to meet up with MINI friends and tour the Smith College Spring Bulb Show – a great way to remind everyone that winter really will end one day!
Great to see all our friends again – too much work, not enough meets this winter! Lots of beautiful spring bulbs too …

Sadly, I accidentally left my camera at ISO 1000 – so these pictures are disappointing at high resolution!

Last year for MINIsOnTop 2008, New Country MINI “invented” a new fun activity for MINI owners – Sundae On Friday. Ice cream and toppings were served, and everyone enjoyed 🙂

This year, New Country MINI will once again join us, and deliver delicious Ice cream during Sundae On Friday, 2009 edition 🙂

MINI friends at MINI of Peabody

It’s been a long time since I visited MINI of Peabody – busy work, no MINI issues, no mods … but today Jason was down from Northern Vermont to have a new throttle body installed in his R56 S, so I headed over to say “hi” – and so too did Ivan, and Gavin! After chatting a while, we headed over to H.M.S. Motorsport where Jason discovered he likely needs new racing harnesses for the upcoming season, and also purchased a neat miniature widescreen video camera for recording his auto-x days (I want one too!)

Then back to the dealership, where we were joined by Brian & Sarah, after which we all headed down, round, up, round and down again to get to Chilis (just a few yards north of the dealership, but a long way round on a divided highway!)

 

Great food, and great company 🙂
