New York Arrival today?

This Great Circle Calculator suggests that the Liberty was less than 300 miles out of New York this morning, and can cover about 400 miles per day (although presumably less when close to land!) … so it looks like the GPs may arrive on land overnight tonight 🙂

The MINI secret (not) revealed

A couple of days ago I revealed more about the new MINI ad campaign, which includes a “decoder kit” shipped to every MINI owners, and adverts appearing in various magazines; I’m now prepared to reveal what happens when you decode the first advert! Exciting 🙂

Here is the advert and the decoder – you can see how the decoder is the exact size needed to fit over the roof of the MINI in the advert:

To decode the advert, you have to place the decoder over the MINI roof and position it correctly, so that various text and graphics are very coolly revealed … like this:

(thanks to my lovely assistant, Margaret, for helping with this)

As you can see in the picture, it’s quite tricky to get the thing lined up and decoded – you have to get the decoder flat on the advert and you need to “jiggle” up and down to get it right.
Once done, you can read all the text, recognize the graphic, and read a website address where you can learn more …
