I turned the comments round!

I have always had GBMINI set up so that posts & comments are listed “most recent first” – but it seems that everyone else has the comments listed “most recent last”.
That order makes more sense when you want to scroll down through the page and read the comments in order – generally comments have been limited and it did not make much difference but with the discussions recently it is awkward to scroll down to the end (oldest comment) then scroll back up to read the comments in order.

So I have switched the ordering of comments to match everyone else – oldest comment now appears first with the rest following in order below.

I also looked into integrating the comment entry onto the page, but I have not got there yet without ruining the page layout – so for now comment entry remains “pop-up” …

Thank you for your comments 😉

Lunch at Fuddruckers

Back from another lunchtime gathering planned by Jared (pezboy); this one at Fuddruckers; while snow put off a couple of people we still had Jared & Susan, Joe, Ivan & Norrine, Josh, Jayson, Chris, & me. Fuddruckers offers a good range of burgers (including buffalo & ostrich!) with a nearly endless choice of condiments; and milkshakes.

While we were at lunch, GBMINI#3 switched from a black to a white roof!

The journey home was interesting, as snow was falling quite heavily now and the roads were not yet well plowed, but it did give me a good workout with GBMINI#3 on the non-runflat tires and they performed admirably. When I got home I was surprised to find the front of GBMINI#3 heavily caked in snow – I had not realized it was falling that thickly (I brushed off one headlight before thinking to take the pic):

A year of MINI circuits …

About a year ago, after making two MINI circuits for other people (and one for me) I decided to make a small batch of about 30 and sell them.

Since then, I have shipped over 600 auto-up-windows MINI circuits!
Orders increased slowly last year as word-of-mouth “advertising” enabled more people to find out about the circuit – and there was a big peak in orders when Gabe Bridgers MotoringFile reviewed it.

Since the new year, when I pushed up the price, orders have tailed off significantly – but that is OK since I was being overwhelmed sometimes last year! Maybe the increased price has put people off, or maybe I have now saturated my market.

Currently I have about 80 MINI circuits in stock – although I will be taking 11 to Las Vegas next week for Sin City MINI Club members; I expect the rest of my stock will run out by June.
