GOMINI and Steve at MINI Peabody

Steve (“Cape Cod Mini”) was at MINI Peabody when I visited today; his car “GOMINI” (on the left in this picture from last year) was having an oil leak fixed:

Steve was also having new brake pads & rotors put on the car – now that he has the pulley, intake and nitrous system, I guess he needs to stop quicker too!

There was a surprising number of MINIs with personalised / vanity plates today – as well as Steves GOMINI and my GBMINI, there was CAMCOOP, PKTROKT, MINIAC and DRMWEVR. There were only two other MINIs with generic plates – suggesting that MINI owners are somewhat fanatical! Surprise?

mini MINIs from Hrach

Visiting MINI Peabody today, I met a few friends including Steve (“Cape Cod Mini”) and Hrach (a sales councilor at MINI Peabody).
Among Hrach’s many other talents is the skill to make incredible gold & silver jewelry, and he donated one gold & one silver mini MINI to the MINIsOnTop event – these little cars are only about one inch long, and amazingly detailed! Hrach wears a gold bracelet which he made of classic Minis – here he is “modelling” the gold donation next to his bracelet:

NOTE: if you like this gold (4-1/2 to 5 grams, 14 karat) & silver jewelry and cannot wait until MINIsOnTop to have a chance to win it, Hrach has some more for sale. Contact me for more information …

Painted aero kit for Indi Blue MINI

An interesting item on eBay tonight … if you have an Indi Blue MINI and fancy replacing all that black wheel & bumper trim with painted, then check out this already-painted aero kit. Not sure if it is a good price or not – depends how much labour cost is involved to swap the stock parts for the parts in this kit.
(DISCLAIMER: GBMINI, Ian and this web site have no connection with the sellers of this item!)
