Less than an hour north of us here in Florida, at Black Hammock, we went on an airboat ride yesterday – fun, and not as noisy as expected (though the ear protectors were needed when running at full speed!)
Less than an hour north of us here in Florida, at Black Hammock, we went on an airboat ride yesterday – fun, and not as noisy as expected (though the ear protectors were needed when running at full speed!)
Tonights visit to Epcot entertained us with a half hour performance from The Orchestra, a group playing ELO music, and including two original ELO band members – Louis Clark and Mik Kaminski!
They performed a number of ELO hits, including (of course) Mr Blue Sky and Telephone Line; with Mik’s blue violin playing, they sounded pretty good still …
Later in the evening, Epcot’s Illuminations fireworks:
This afternoon we took a short trip to nearby Lake Louisa State Park, peaceful and full of trees and wildlife! There’s a few areas in the park, and multiple lakes; natures trails, forested scrubland; we even saw three wild deer – too far to photograph, but clear and not much bothered by us. But the Gopher Tortoise was close enough:
At Lake Louisa, we walked on the sandy “beach” and in the water, which was a very red/brown color …
I also took some video of the Gopher Tortoise, who was quite keen to get away from us:
