The Dinosaur Store

As Margaret continues to paint and decorate 8002, we decided to look for some interesting rocks/fossils (made difficult on Google by the bags!); we found The Dinosaur Store in Cocoa Beach so chose a day trip to the coast (an easy ride once we got past the crazy Disney traffic!):

Inside was a treasure trove of real (“authentic”) and fake (“cast”) fossils and other fascinating stones and collectibles; we could have spent hours and thousands of dollars!

We left with an Ammonite, a slice of Petrified Wood and a split stone with Trilobite inside (so you can put the two halves back together if desired!); all three pieces look great on the new furniture by the front door:

Animal Kingdom snapshots

A trip to Animal Kingdom today, in warm but not so sunny weather, gave a few not-so-great phone camera shots – but the Tiger is quite good; and as we were leaving we caught site of a very active Giant Anteater (clearly it was expecting food, from the way it kept visiting the cage entrance); it’s name was justified, easily more than six feet nose to end of stiff tail!

More test rigs

Another big box arrived from Massachusetts today, with a test rig for P600 and SEM controllers (and some other stuff); the packaging of the test rig was amazing with sturdy 2×4 framing to protect the rigs from any shipping damage! The rigs, unpacked (left is an open P600, right is an open and top/bottom separated SEM controller, in the back a power supply):

Thanks, Matt, for a great construction!
