The “baby” Great Blue Heron has grown a lot in a month, from a little fluff ball to now almost as big as it’s parent (though, there’s only one baby now). This video shows it pestering a parent for food – sorry it’s poorly lit but the afternoon sun shines right behind the nest!

I created this recording last night of the frog, bird and insect sounds in the wetlands behind our home – tonight the frogs got much louder, don’t know what the trigger was but they were impressive (and presumably they’ll get louder still in the weeks ahead!):

I also took a video of the Great Blue Heron nest this past weekend, and happened to catch a parent feeding it’s young!

That young Heron is growing fast!

I put all the last six months construction pictures in to a 4-1/2 minute video of Lennar building our new home at Independence; Apple’s Aperture program did all the pretty stuff!
