Is this ‘gator too close?

It’s basically guaranteed that there will be ‘gators where there is water – and of course people like to live near water too. So you get this – can you spot the ‘gator? Laying by the water, to the left of the cluster of plants. The close view will help:

Too close to the home? Maybe the people should move since I bet the ‘gator was here first!

Ian The American

More than ten years ago, Margaret became an American citizen; at the time I was not ready to do the same – one requirement of citizenship is to renounce your birth nationality, and I was not ready to do that.
The two trips to England last year however, finally felt to me like I was no longer “connected” to my original home, and so I was finally ready to become a US citizen. And today, after paperwork and interview, it happened!

Margaret got her nails done in celebration, too:

First “service” for Clubman

I spent a few hours at Orlando MINI today – getting my replacement tire fitted, and also having the steering wheel changed. When I’d originally picked up the car, I found that the steering wheel had been scratched, and seeing that I’d paid a premium for the upgraded wheel, I wanted it to be corrected. It’s taken this long to get the part, but now it’s done.

The steering wheel replacement was not as simple as it should have been, apparently … I waited at the dealership, took a few walks, chatted to various friendly personnel, and watched my Clubman get it’s first wash!

And, after a few hours, all was done; a new tire and a new steering wheel – and new rubber floor mats too (they weren’t yet available when I originally picked up the car).
