Bridger.us – gone!?

Blink and another of my favourite web sites gets a name change! Bridger.us/mini has changed to motoringfile.com which does not, yet, work for me but if it works for Gabe then fine! A little sad that Gabe cannot risk a web site with “mini” in the title; once again thanks to BMW Lawyers.
Personally I always loved the suspected connection to “Mr Bridger” who was in ultimate control of the original Italian Job movie:

Gabe has made sure to carry the style and (of course) the content over to the new motoringfile site – all I have to do is update my link(s) and keep reading his site!

  1. Actually BMW/MINI lawyers weren’t involved in this one. I simply wanted the site’s name to better reflect the professionalism I’ve tried to give it. Also it’s a lot easier to market a name like MotoringFile πŸ™‚

  2. Sorry for any confusion Gabe … my comment about “mini” was referring to this in your original post:
MINI is very sensitive in regards to using the name MINI or Cooper on a private website (just take a look at what North American Motoring went through last year). With that in mind I wanted something that worked in terms of the MINI culture yet didn’t use the term MINI in it’s title

  3. I guess I was referring to finding a new name for the site. I’m actually quite friendly with people at MINI these days. Lets hope it stays that way – they can be a wealth of information πŸ™‚
