Well I guess the Counter Counterfeit Commission did not actually know that today was my birthday – but the CCC DVD I ordered back in February arrived today; and you also get a “deputy agent” membership card!
For more information about counterfeit MINI Coopers, see my previous weblog entry and the official website
So have you watched it yet? 😀
Did MINI actually charge your card for the video? I kind of had the feeling they would just send it free as marketing material.
yeah, what is actually on the dvd??
And happy birthday to ya.
Just watched it – basically it is a much expanded version of the advert; there is a nice but short factory sequence of building the real thing, and lots more about making the counterfeits.
They have done a nice job of putting it together, even if it is only 9-1/2 minutes.
And Josh I have not checked but there was an invoice in the package so my guess is they did charge me.
Could you bring it to the pully party???
I ordered one for a fello MINI owner in Germany. I called a few weeks ago because there wasn’t any charge on my card yet. They called last Friday to say they would be shipping this week. I ordered on Feb 17th so I’m hoping this week also.
I ordered mine as soon as I saw the site posted here and at Motoringfile. I have not gotten it yet, but I did have a sticker from FedEx tonight when I arrived home. Could this be my CCC DVD? Did yours come via USPS, FedEx or other mail source?
Happy Birthday sir!
Paul,
I won’t be at the pulley party this weekend.
GSK,
Don’t remember how it was delivered but it was not regular mail – so maybe FedEx ground?
Sadly it was not so well packaged and the DVD case is cracked.
Haha, I love it!!
Ian,
April 4th is Carol’s birthday as well! Congratulations to you both!
Theo
Happy Birthday btw. :o)
It was indeed the CCC DVD. Mine apparently is itself counterfeit as at about 6:38 it delays/skips until about 7:25 or so. The DVD was a bit scracthed up just taking it out of the case.
Such is life. It’s stupid and was a waste of 20 bucks, but I knew that going in and it was worth the wasted money. :o)
Interesting … my DVD also stopped playing at about that time on one player, but played fine on my older one.
I agree with your comment too – a good waste of $20 😉
Still waiting…………
