I dropped off GBMINI#3 at Sublime Restorations this morning, so they can prep it ready for touching up the “S” design on the roof on Saturday morning – the plan is for me to be present with Scott (the graphics artist) so that hopefully I will be happy with the results this time.
Meanwhile, I get to drive this:
Surprising how big the “A” and “B” pillars are, blocking more view than I am used to. On the other hand, the stereo has loads more bass than GBMINI#3 (with its aftermarket head unit but stock speakers) – I think it must have a sub somewhere in the car …
Hopefully I will get GBMINI#3 back next week, with a finished “S” design on the roof, and (finally) bonnet stripes too!
Ian – did I miss something? Did the “S” not turn out the way you wanted?
Whatever you do, don’t try to turn the steering wheel!! I’s just there for show!
🙂
I had to suffer with the neon as well, and the second time a (still bad but not nearly as horrible) cavalier. I don’t understand how either can compete with the handling of a focus (my last car) despite being in the same class & price.
I hope you are happier with the new S. Will you be supervising the painting?
YEAH?! whats wrong with the S???
See this article about the “S” – I don’t like the “blobs” in the streaking, and it is not blended enough into the black of the roof.
The “S” itself is good; just the streaks need re-work. And yes I will be there when the work is re-done.
