Boone Hall Plantation

Before leaving Charleston, we toured Boone Hall Plantation – this plantation has existed for hundreds of years, though it’s changed in purpose many times (and now is mostly tourist targeted) … when established (land given by the King), first was to cut down and sell all the trees, then they moved in to Cotton, then Pecans; they also made & sold bricks throughout much of their history … much of the early activity due to the free labour of slaves …
