November 24 - Spectrum Is Green.jpg

The Spectrum Analyzer displays a chart of signal strength against frequency; what you can’t see here is that it’s connected to an antenna, receiving wireless emissions from the air – including radio stations out of Boston, and electrical noise coming from our computers and vehicle controls! It’s used to find out whether our controls comply with European law, which limits the maximum level of wireless emissions (and right now, it’s not passing).

We haven’t used this equipment for nearly 10 years, and it’s baffling both Christian and I, since we can’t remember what buttons to press – and it’s got lots as you can see! Time to read the manuals (which are many inches thick!)
