One of the coldest days so far this winter – 15f (-9c) on the way to work this morning; brrrr! I drove down to the public landing in Essex, to take pictures of the frozen Essex river:

Asparagus
I guess after a year of taking a picture every day, I can’t quite get out of the habit … the “standing tall” Asparagus appealed to me today, at the local Willow Rest cafe/deli (though I didn’t actually buy any!)
English Snow
A rare event – if it snows in England, it’s unusual and generally only a dusting; but my Dad just sent pictures of the snow where he lives, and it’s impressive! Must be at least 3″, and no doubt no-one is travelling anywhere right now … Maybe more impressive, the Sun is trying to shine – that doesn’t happen often in an English winter either!
