When we arrived at Zion National Park, we were able to drive the tour roads (from April you have to park and use a tour bus), and also take a 3 mile hike up around the canyon – all very spectacular!

BTW… Kittie and I say at the Desert Pearl Inn just outside the park I think on the west end in Springdale. A fabulous place to stay.

Robert, the car is an awful under-powered and cramped Kia – seat fully back and not enough leg room. It’s reasonably quiet though!
Funny thing – we drove down Springdale to choose somewhere to stay, and I liked the look of the Desert Pearl Inn.
But they said $163 for the night and we almost turned away – but decided to stay anyway, and the room is wonderful! Great comfy bed, amazing views, yes I’d stay here again; in fact we would, except they’re fully booked already for tonight.
