Margaret and I have now lived in USA for 30 years and to celebrate we’ve just completed a road trip up the east coast; we are staying at Rustic Log Cabins for two nights, near to Franconia Notch and the first place we stayed after emigrating …

Just a few miles from cabins is Polly’s Pancakes which we love – we went for breakfast twice!

We next explored Franconia Notch, visiting The Basin and The Flume Gorge (again we first visited here back in 1996, when the Old Man Of The Mountain still existed!)

30 years: Storm King Art Center

Margaret and I have now lived in USA for 30 years and to celebrate we’ve just completed a road trip up the east coast; today on the way to NH we visited Storm King Art Center, a huge area with loads of stunning sculptures (and happily shuttle services to get you around!)

30 years: Mount Vernon

Margaret and I have now lived in USA for 30 years and to celebrate we’ve just completed a road trip up the east coast; today was a longer driving day to get us through PA and to NY close to tomorrow’s destination, but we had time to detour to Mount Vernon where President Washington once lived (suffering Washington DC area traffic on the way!
