Vacation

One highlight of staying at Captain Lord Mansion is their excellent breakfasts – and Sunday is best of all, with delicious sticky buns:

There is also some more healthy choices, like fruit, yoghurt, etc …

Today we headed a little further north in Maine, to just past Newcastle where we knew there is a pub with EXCELLENT food – King Eider’s Pub. I had Steak and Ale pie, and Margaret had real (ie: English style) sausages.
After lunch, we toured the area, finding water including this beach near Pine Point (cold winds off the water though – high below 40 today!):

And tonight, back at Captain Lord Mansion, we’re in a different room – the Excelsior (makes yesterdays bed seem small!) …

We’ve headed back to Captain Lord Mansion this weekend, for a bit of a getaway from recent events. Tonight, we’re staying in the “Americana” room, themed nicely with American history – and a nice painting of poppies in a meadow …
