I took this picture last weekend, from Pat & Daves house looking to our house, when there was snow all around (but with temperatures in the 50s and heavy rain recently, there is no snow today!)
Serves me right for saying “winter is easy this year” … yesterday we were hit with about 6″ of heavy wet snow; not too much when we got up (maybe 2″) but it kept going through much of the day …
At work, more and more snow as the day progressed:
It took me about 3/4 hour to clear the driveway when I got home, so that we could park our cars – GBMINI is not at all keen to climb over snowbanks!
The first day of 2006 begins, with snow everywhere – but only a light 1-2″ … The weather has not been much below freezing recently so the bubbler created ice hole in the pond is quiet large – and you can sometimes see fish slowly swimming underneath:
It would be nice to think that this years winter will be easy and mild, as it has been so far – but somehow I think it will get worse in the next two months (it always does!)
