MINIsOnTop 2006 sponsors #5

Time once again to thank the generous sponsors of MINIsOnTop 2006!

Firstly, thanks to Concord Motorsport for the donation of a DINAN Strut Tower Brace.
Another local company, Bavarian Autosport, has donated two $50 gift certificates – thanks.

Thanks also to OutMotoring; they have sent a whole package of stuff to MINIsOnTop, including Tshirts, a MINI storage unit, and a pile of window decals.

Finally, a huge THANKS to SSG Precision Optronics; this company does not make MINI-related products, but employs MINI owners – they have sent a $250 check which will be included in the charity donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts later this year.

Remember also that MINIsOnTop is raffling a JCW upgrade, donated by MINI of Peabody – the sale of $25 tickets has raised almost $1000 already.

Next week we will be formally announcing a SECOND major raffle prize from Herb Chambers MINI of Boston similar to their huge donation last year – watch this space for more news, and contact me if you are interested in raffle tickets for either major MINIsOnTop prize.

Previous MINIsOnTop sponsor shout-outs:
Prestige MINI, GBMINI circuits, North American Motoring, and John, Gayle and TiNY
The major raffle prize from MINI of Peabody
National Motorists Association, SooperCoopers, Chip and Derek
OceanStateMINI club, WebbMotorSports, Bentley Publishers
Oxford Motorsports, Miniature Trailers, Pete, Becca

Many thanks to all MINIsOnTop sponsors!

MINIsOnTop 2006 sponsors #4

Of course the major sponsor announcement since last time is the $6000 value donation from MINI of Peabody of a JCW upgrade for any manual transmission MINI Cooper S! This prize is being raffled with a maximum of 250 x $25 tickets being sold, to be drawn during MINIsOnTop this summer – you do not need to be present to win this prize (tickets available at MINI of Peabody or send an email to MoPraffle@MINIsOnTop.com)

Another excellent prize recently announced is of a $1000 gift certificate from Prestige MINI – this prize matches their donation from 2005, and can be used for any combination of merchandise and labor at that dealership. Vasili tells me that Prestige will also be bringing some extra prizes (in previous years, they gave out Tshirts!)

Also donated since the last shout-out:
Three “auto-up & track mode DSC” MINI circuits from GBMINI (me!)
Twelve North American Motoring calendars donated by Mark Ferguson who runs NAM (see here for my write-up of the 2006 calendar)
A 70″ x 70″ hand-made patchwork quilt, from John, Gayle and TiNY (Dracmanf on MINI2) – see this MINI2 post for pictures.

John Cooper Works Upgrade for $25!

This years amazing MINIsOnTop raffle is of a John Cooper Works upgrade (*).
This fabulous prize, worth around $6000, has been generously donated by MINI of Peabody, a dealership heavily involved in the MINI community and rated #1 for service by everyone I know! They’ve also been #1 for sales in USA (but they were just beaten in 2005).

A maximum of 250 tickets will be sold for this prize, at $25 each – or buy 5 tickets for $100.
The drawing will take place at MINIsOnTop this summer, June 17 2006.
All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to The Make-A-Wish foundation of Massachusetts, our chosen charity for 2006.
Tickets will be available for purchase at MINI of Peabody, or you can contact me.

You can see the full list of MINIsOnTop sponsors on this webpage.

IMPORTANT:
(*) This raffle is open to all, but the JCW upgrade is suitable only for MINI Cooper S models built January 2004 and later, and equipped with a manual transmission. The prize is supplied by MINI of Peabody, and the prize includes installation at that dealership only.
Cars built before January 2004 have an incompatible exhaust mount – if the winner owns an older car, he/she can choose to omit the exhaust, or have the exhaust mounts adapted (at additional cost not included in the prize).
UPDATE: MINI of Peabody have determined that exhaust hanger modifications to suit older cars are feasible – AND the modification costs will be absorbed by them!
The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or any other merchandise.
