Plymouth Bay Or Bust

Today was Plymouth Bay Or Bust (see this thread on MINI2, planned by Cape Cod MINI) (see also Hudson Bay Or Bust).
We started at Nantasket Beach, south of Boston – by the time Margaret & I got there after a delayed breakfast, almost everyone else had arrived. Steves route took us south along winding back roads & route 3A; our first stop was the Old Scituate Lighthouse:

After a quick stop at Dunking Donuts we headed down into Plymouth, parked and walked to the memorial to admire the famous Plymouth Rock:

Our day ended at the British Beer Company restaurant, which had great food (and, I am told, great beer) along with great company of other MINI owners!

MINIsOnTop 2005

Quoting an email received today:
Congratulations! You are the first MINIs On Top registrant for MOT 05.
-Steve

We anticipate MINIsOnTop this summer to be even more popular than it was last year, when 160 MINIs attended.

There is a parking limit at the top of Mount Washington of 200 MINIs – late registrants will be able to join the Kancamagus Highway drive and the auto road base gathering, but will not be able to drive their car up the road to see the sunset.

Many extra events are planned for this year: Friday afternoon meet and greet with cocktails at the MOTOR, the MOT Trivia Competition with BYOB, Radio Controlled MINI Car Races, MOT Photo Scavenger Hunt, MINI golf, MINI hike, early morning sunrise drives, and early morning moose photo hunt

I hope to see you there 🙂

Lunch at Woodmans

Even though “big snow” threatens, five MINIs and eight people headed down to Woodmans in Essex today to say “hi” and have lunch …

Rick & Laurie, Harvey & Terry, Joe & Debbie, Jared & I enjoyed non-MINI chat, fried clams and scallops; Terry was disappointed that there was no dessert but I am sure she can find something when they get home!

Thanks to Jared for organizing the get-together on this MINI2 thread.
