“Da MINI” Tshirts arrive

FABULOUS! My “Da MINI” Tshirts arrived in the mail today …

These shirts have been designed by Joe and sold via a thread on NAM; he did both a MINI Cooper and a MINI Cooper S design, and is planning a future order run which will include designs specific to the convertible as well.

Having worn one shirt all afternoon from when it arrived, I can attest to its comfort and warmth! Totally recommended if you want an unusual MINI shirt …

The new MINI2

Many MINI fanatics had a tough day yesterday, with MINI2 down for upgrades … but this morning it is back, and at least for now it is lightning fast 🙂
The “light blue” display style I used has gone, but I suppose I will get used to the black format …
The “quick reply” is back and does a neat trick of popping your new message on the end of the display without appearing to do a full refresh – nice!

If you have any issues with the new MINI2, chat about it with Paul here.

MaxaMINI in GoMINI

I only got around to reading the October issue of GoMINI this evening – it’s been on my desk for ages but I did not realize that it contained a great write-up of a tribute run to MaxaMINI held in England back in August …

Many readers will remember the shock when we learned that Ed had died, and the sadness and joy of the memorial.
I knew that Ed affected people around the world, especially through MINI2, and this article is more proof, if any was needed, of his influence … my thanks to GoMINI and the run organizers and article writers.

Later this month, the third annual MAMA drive around Keene, NH takes place (see this MINI2 thread) and Eds wife, Mart, will be joining us for what will surely be another sad/happy day …
