1200 miles; wet seat belt fixed

Broke through 1200 miles tonight! So GBMINI is now officially run in.
Good – the performance and power is great, but you can feel the car really starting to get keen around 4500rpm, which is when you are supposed to stop during the run in period.

Visited MINI Peabody today to have a few details dealt with. As always, perfectly excellent service and everybody friendly. They solved my “wet seat belt” and replaced the boot round the handbrake (cut through by a bolt which now has a rubber end cap on it); they also appear to have eliminated a vibration from the passenger door area. Saw loads of other MINIs around – there will be lots more happy Boston area owners soon 🙂

Wet seat belt!

Washed GBMINI again today … the metallic Indi Blue looks great when clean (not that often round here till the winter grit clears out).
Ripped the cooperflag off so my MINI is back to white roof now … a couple of marks in the paintwork where the installers cut the flag to size; I also had a wet seat belt after rain recently – hoping that the roof seal was not damaged by the flag installers.
I plan to have a Union Jack painted on the roof soon – they will also be able to repair any paint damage from the cooperflag debacle.
