GBMINIs first wash

With the weather sunny and above freezing yesterday, I gave my MINI its first proper wash (no wax – still too cold for that).
It looks so much better with the dirt & grit removed … up till I drove into town for lunch, and messed it all up again!

I also put the “John Cooper” signature decals on the bonnet stripes – a little more character 🙂
Still convinced that the Union Jack will have to come off and be replaced … there has been no response from cooperflags so far!

GBMINIs first snow

Well, I don’t need to worry about the look of my Union Jack flag today 🙂

The new MCS handled just as well as I remember the old MC handling; the extra power did not seem to give me many problems. Only thing was I had to turn off DSC to reverse onto the drive – before that DSC stalled the engine on two attempts. Very safe feeling on the highway …

GOMINI (Steve) meets GBMINI (Ian)

Drove to MINI Peabody today to get their opinions on the Union Jack, and met Steve (CapeCodMini on MINI2) who was having some car work done. After getting both our cars washed, we took some pictures:

As for the flag … I love the look of it FROM A DISTANCE. But the installation needs to be better. I have heard from Jeff (who proposes painting a flag – expensive) but I have not yet heard from the flag supplier (although they have been in contact with Jeff).
