Aruba 2006

Last week, with Margarets USA passport finally arrived, we booked a last minute trip to Aruba to get some sun & warmth – although winter so far this year has been very easy (the fish pond is not frozen at all!)
We enjoyed a very lazy week on the beach and rarely left the hotel except to get food in an excellent nearby restaurant called Tango (they had fabulous steak and other meats, and a so-so live tango dance every hour; best of all was their “Tango crepe” dessert!).

Ludlow, Vermont

This weekend we spent a quiet and enjoyable time in Ludlow, at the Andrie Rose Inn; we had a cosy room with gas fire, but more spectacular was the area – especially with recent snow present still on higher elevations, and fall colors in the trees (turning very late this year!):

British Invasion – Stowe, VT

Each year in mid September since I owned a MINI, I have driven up to Stowe for British Invasion (see the 2005 entry on GBMINI.net).
But as well as all the British cars, Stowe is a nice town anyway and it also had an outdoor art exhibition running; so here are some Stowe pics with minimal MINIs …
