Many Famous MINIs

I got an email from Scott at MINI Peabody today about the just in “2005 you-ification workbook” (showing various MINI motoring accessories). I also got an email from Keith, and a phone call from Gary!
Why? Because the inside front & back cover of this booklet is covered with pictures of MINIs collected presumably from the web, and including GBMINI:

Close-up views of front and inside front cover:

Who else can identify their MINI in these pics – it will be interesting to see how many of the pictures can be identified. For example, a covered bridge pic (6 down, 3 in) on the inside front cover is probably from MINIsOnTop. I am interested to know about the “bulldog on roof” pic (4 down, left edge) on the inside front cover, which looks like it was taken on GBMINIs roof – or another painted roof …

WELL DONE MINI USA! A very cool booklet encouraging and recognizing the MINI community.

PS: If anyone can identify their MINI and lives a long way from a dealership so cannot easily get a copy, I have a couple of spares, thanks to Scott 😉

  1. Did MINI USA ask permission to use your photo? I mean, it’s neat and all to be included, but shouldn’t they have asked permission and/or offered some token of appreciation?
    Did they?

  2. Angie,
No – I was not asked for permission, but since my pics are in the public domain and there is no copyright declaration on my website, then there is no legal requirement.
Maybe they should have contacted everyone, but I guess they just assumed people would be pleased – I certainly have no complaint with them.

  3. They made a new option box in the resume set-up section that asks if they can use your photos for publicity and such.
I woulden’t mind if they used any of mine…

  4. That’s my Bessie on the back cover along with my friend Emily. I hope my friend doesn’t mind being on there since they never asked to use to photo. My website, though it doesn’t say copyright, does state that people should ask if they want to use the photos.
    Thanks for posting this!

  5. No, they didn’t ask. Actually, I have never gotten any Mini mailings or Mini swag as I have heard others have.
I would love a copy of the brochure!

  6. WoooHooo!!! Were famous! Thats ours next to British Airways Concorde in Seattle at the Boeing museum. Thank you Ian for posting this.
    Got an extra copy?

  7. Alice is on the back cover. A pic I took of Alice and Donovan’s Stella in front of the welcome to Las Vegas sign is right there in the middle of the inside back cover. That pic was all over the web last year promoting AMVIV 1.
