Today the MINI USA owners lounge correctly showed my new MINIs color (previously it was still showing the “spec” color – dark silver!)

Most MINI owners know already but for those that don’t – one of the great things about ordering a MINI is tracking its build. As soon as you have a production number, you can log in to the owners lounge and check its spec and build status.

    My wife’s 05 MCS was one of the luckey ones that had the production video made of it (it was built on 11/09/04). I was really hoping that MINI was going to make the feature a reality for all January 2005 and on MINIs, but I guess not. My 05 MCS was completed on January 9th and I’ve yet to see a production video show up for it in the OL (like happened for my wife’s). It’s too bad really as it’s a really cool feature and I’d love to have everyone else see it.

    On the brighter side, maybe Feburary builds will get the video and Ian will be gold. 🙂

  5. It’s a blessing (Tracking), It’s a curse… Drove me crazy. Got the car yesturday!!! The tracking said it would be at MOP Monday and it was right.

    Feels like a brand new car! Wait…. it is NEW!

  6. Congrats Paul … I was *so* tempted to take a pic of your new MINI when I was ordering mine; but I decided to let you see it firsthand instead 😉
