Today, GBMINI#3 was delivered to the New York docks, discharged from the Tancred this afternoon; now we just wait for VDC to get it processed and out on a truck for delivery to MINI Peabody … MINI USA owners lounge estimates delivery on March 3rd:

BTW my car finally came in. I’m not able to take delivery of it yet (as they are still working out the replacement details for the lemon), but at least I got to see it. The car was still getting prepped and so I was only able to snap this one (really poor quality) picture of it up on the service lift. It doesn’t look like much in the photo, but in real life it’s SWEET! The Web-Spoke wheels are absolutely fantastic.

Your new MINI looks great even in that photo – the wheels come out pretty clearly, and the blue too. I am sure we will be seeing more of it soon enough, too …

I don’t know, do they? I still thought they were part of the sport package but it’s been so long since I ordered mine so I don’t know. Plus, I did it by packages not “a la carte” so back in 2002 I probably didn’t know if sport seats were standard anyway. =)
Funny that MINISA thing says it’s a CVT…probably just need to update their stuff because I think it’s just a regular auto.
OK … all MCS come only with sports seats; if I could have ordered the standard MC seats with GBMINI#2 I would have – it took me quite a while to get comfortable with the more shaped sports seats.
Lucky for those side bolsters with the leater…otherwise Susan would need a four point harness.
Amazing Ian, we both ordered our last MINIs at almost the same time. Now we’re both expecting MINIs in the near future. Mine will be hitting the Southampton docks by Monday…
Glad to hear GBMINI3 is almost home…BTW Tancred is what carried SIZE-XS over the pond.
I love the side bolsters on my seats. In hard cornering they are the best. My wife’s new A4 doesn’t have them and I do a lot of sliding around, of course only when she is not in car.
It will be fun seeing all the new pics of GB3 when you get it.
