At MINI Peabody today, I saw “old” GBMINI#2 up for sale …
With exterior & interior enhancements (painted roof, chrome, aftermarket stereo, etc) and the John Cooper Works upgrade, this should be a great car for someone … I hope they love it as much as I do/did.
Must seem kinda sad. Do you think they could get that much for it???
Hmm, leather vs. JCW on the signage…..looking forward to seeing the new wheels at Fuddrucker’s (snow permitting)
Kind of sad… But, it’s also kind of neat at the same time. GBMINI#2 now gets to enjoy having a new owner and a whole new set of adventures. π
Yes it is a bit sad … it takes a little away from enjoying #3, at least for now.
I expected MoP to price #2 at $25900; I think they will probably get $24900 or maybe up to $25500 – people expect to knock the price down on any used car, even a MINI π
It won’t be there long. Used MINIs don’t stay on that lot whatever the sticker price. I have hardly ever seen a used MINI there – they don’t get many as trade ins! π
Just a thought…
Perhaps John can point prospective owners to your blog for some inside info about TMFKAG (The MINI Formerly Known As GBMINI). Certainly the JCW installation(s) and the dyno stuff would be of interest to a performance-oriented shopper.
