GBMINI#3 reaches 10,000 miles
Not quite 7 months (a little quicker than GBMINI#2), and nothing to complain about.
The cold start issue seems normal for many MINIs but was resolved by switching to a different gasoline; the spurious SES light did not happen much, and was recently cured (hopefully) by an engine software update.
And for those anti to the automatic transmission, I can only tell you that my MINI enjoyment is at least as high with GBMINI#3 as with the previous manual transmission MINIs …

My cold start issue has gone away. I didn’t get a software update. Just at about 3k miles it disappeared. I need to get my car in the wiring harness recall but my hasn’t had a SES/EML light due to the wiring in the last 2k miles.
It’s time for a free oil change!
