Yesterday afternoon Margaret & I spent about half an hour digging out – clearing the paths, removing all the snow from between the cars, and shovelling out all the “plow truck spillover” that blocked & filled the street in front of our driveway.
This morning, I had to do it all over again! Continuing wind yesterday filled in the paths and cars, and more truck plowing re-buried our driveway. Oh well, at least I didn’t run around with a snow blower waking the neighbours at 5:30am, like one of my neighbours did 😦
Anyway, GBMINI got out and made it to work with minimal issues this morning. Quite a lot of DSC flashing on my street, but the highways were perfectly clear – and we are trying out a new design of MINI fuel cap:
Overall, our snow impact yesterday was minimal (unlike some parts of the East Coast) – hope no-one else suffered too much …
I ALMOST feel ashamed of SoCal’s weather. Almost.
😉
yeah, on the way into Logan today the major roads were bone dry. My side street was down to the asphalt this AM, when it was 6 degrees F! The wonders of road salt.
I am totally surprised Logan is like a ghost town at this writing, it must have been chaotic early this AM; my flight however, is overbooked so I feel lucky I have a confirmed seat. Am heading to that sunny CA weather 🙂
n da 80Ëšs today….get out the board I’m heading to da beach tamale.
Your snow looks good. Check out my blog for my covered MINI :-p
Good to see your spirits are up, despite having to dig up all the white stuff.
I was in Chicago when I saw the news about the blizzard (we only got a bit of flurries) and thought of you.
Back home in SoCal now though . . . and not missing the cold!
Take care.
