This weekend, as a birthday treat, Margaret secretly arranged a trip for us to the Wentworth By The Sea, a fabulous hotel in New Hampshire; the hotel was built in the 1870s but left to ruin in the 1980s; recently it was renovated and was a lovely place to stay, with great views and excellent food:
From the hotel we took a trip to Ogonquit in Maine and walked the Marginal Way – a footpath running along the edge of the Atlantic Ocean:
When we finished our walk, after tea & cake, the heavens opened and so we headed back to the hotel to watch the rain from indoors, and drink “champagne” (Asti, really):
