Some American kids (brats?) today are apparently educated that they are the most important thing in the world and nothing / no-one else matters … their idea of a jolly fun Saturday night game is to smash other peoples mail boxes with a baseball bat!
This is the third time this has happened in the last five years, and it’s extremely infuriating 😦

Sorry to see that Ian…I never understood why some kids liked to go and do this. It is an american pasttime for certain mental groups.
In my hometown, we had a street that was especially prone to mailbox attacks, and my friend’s father had a great defense: He mounted an oversize mailbox on a steel pole, and placed a normal-sized mailbox inside it, and filled the space between with concrete. It was always unscathed and you can just imagine that horrible arm-tingling feeling that resulted when a troublemaker passed by and swung at 40mph, shattering their bat!

Why don’t you put your mail box next to your front door? No one has ever damaged our mail box, and we live right next door to you. It is not required to have your mail box at the street unless you build a new house. It will keep people from damaging it. They wouldn’t dare get that close.
