Yes I know that MINI United happened ages ago … but I did take some video, and finally got round to reviewing it, doing a quick bit of editing, converting and uploading! The video includes a pan around the MINI United / MINI USA host hotel (the Movenpick in Amsterdam), then a pan around the tent-covered area at MINI United at the Zandvoort track, followed by George & I driving the track (at not-very-fast speeds) in an R56 MINI Cooper.
Then comes a bit of driver skill training – an emergency lane change maneouvre, then learning to do a 180 degree turn (in water, to spare the tires!)
And we finish with some video of the MINI Cooper Challenge races …

Great video! Thanks for sharing Ian!
Great video Ian, brought back great memories.
I watched them both side by side and didn’t see much difference? Maybe a little less grainy on the MMP?
Thanks for the video. I think George would have passed them had you not been in the car! I say smoke ’em, what they gonna do! 😉
Great editing 🙂 The WMV played fine on the mac with quicktime.
Thanks for that Josh – so Apple Quicktime supports WMV now? Good news!
Quicktime has supported WMV for many years. But just like .mov, .wmv has many different codecs, and often quicktime is a little behind on supporting the latest. Many mac users should have already downloaded the free Flip4Mac software which does support the latest…it is possible that is what really allowed me to view your video. These days it is best to stick with standard formate instead of proprietary. mp3 for audio, mp4 for video, etc.
