MTTS’08 gift-swag

MINI friend “GP George” went to three of the four MTTS’08 events, Miami, Boston and Los Angeles. When I met him at Boston he gave me a couple of things picked up from Miami – the colored wrist band was different to that at Boston …
Then when George went to the Los Angeles event (and met up with MINI friend Robert), he was kind enough to pick me up some more swag – another color of wrist band, a car cleaning cloth (he’s trying to tell me something!), a really nice sew-on MTTS’08 patch, and a rather strange “sippy cup”:

Thanks, George 🙂

England 2008: The end of the trip

At the end of our recent trip to England (see Norwich, The Decade Party, Godstone, Brighton, and Pooh Bridge), we stayed the night at Gordon & Sheila’s home – a beautiful many-hundreds-of-years-old farmhouse south of London:

The next day, we headed up to my Nan’s home for lunch with her, Sheila, Keith and my Mum:

After lunch, and watching a Jay in the back garden, Margaret & I headed up to Heathrow, stayed overnight, and then flew home – seems like ages ago already!

England 2008: Pooh bridge

After our stay in Brighton, we headed back to Dad’s home and admired his new fish pond (also later helped upgrade it with a UV light to eliminate green water!):

Dad took us out in to the English countryside, and then we headed in to Ashdown Forest to visit the “Pooh Sticks” bridge!

(and a link back to our home in Florida: At the end of 1999, Pooh’s favourite bridge was forced to close because of the wear and tear caused by thousands of visitors. At the end of that year, the bridge was rebuilt at a cost of £46,000 with the help of a £15,000 donation from Walt Disney – from here!)
