I picked up this curious little booklet at MINI of Peabody last week, when getting my tire replaced:
I haven’t seen this mentioned elsewhere, although it’s clearly related to the carfunfootprint stuff from earlier in the year. Oddly, there seems to be no mention at all of MINI on the GOOD.is website, so I guess the little booklet is just a free advert for “GOOD”, as well of course as promo material for MINI.

Is it just me, or are the MINIs pooping birds and flowers?

Realistically our older MINIs don’t get good mileage compared to other small cars. I have a neighbor who’s Corvette gets better freeway mileage than my MINI does, go figure. I told him ne was FOS but he showed me the onboard readout, 28 MPG. Of course, as he admits, it can only happen if he babies it.
OBC displays of MPG are not always accurate … but you’re right, the R53 MINI is not very economical – lots of fun though 🙂
That’s what I told the guy but he has since done a desktop calculator version and the OBC was only 1.5 MPG off. I was impressed.
He thinks his Corvette is very kool, loves it but for me it’s a slug. My other neighbors 911 carrera S is such a better car and goes 0-60 in 4 seconds but for the cost of the two…. I’ll take the MINi everyday. He drives the Porsche only twice a month and the MPG sucks.
