Since Apple released their new 27″ iMac machines, I’ve wanted one … and now having tried it, I’m hooked! Here I have two “full size” browser windows open, one to enter my weblog post and the other to access the Gallery pictures I want to paste in … Wonderful 🙂

Is that all you have on your doc? I have the 24″ and love it, wanted the 30″ but no reason since I’m retired plus way too expensive. I remember all the problems you had with your laptop, OK so far?
I try hard to keep my dock clean … habit from years of Windows where the start menu has too much stuff auto-dumped in to it whenever any program is installed.
Also, I used the Applications link on the dock to access programs, like I use the start menu in Windows – I guess I’m used to doing it that way.
There’s lots of Mac stuff I should learn, but while I use a PC almost every day it’s hard to learn Mac-specific stuff … maybe if/when my home Dell gets replaced by a Mac like this one 🙂
This new 27″ iMac has worked perfectly so far; and apart from a failed hard drive, the Macbook Pro is OK now too.
I’m getting $1500 this month from the Company for filing a patent, might be hard to resist an iMac for myself. The big screen sure looks lovely.
How do you like the new mouse?

It’s interesting … I expected to hate it, but I actually really quite like it!
The ability to “gesture” scroll I use a lot; only issue is you need a very light touch as otherwise the mouse slides rather than your fingers on the mouse. Of course I have right-click active as well.
With the big screen, I have mouse movement speed set to max and it’s still not always enough – but I think that’d be true with any mouse!
Well, after a week away and using the 27″ iMac, I’m back home with my Dell PC and it’s 20″ Samsung screen.
It looks TINY! And not as crisp …
And the Microsoft Mouse, nearly unusable right now after a week with Apple’s Magic Mouse! Wow, it’s easy to be corrupted 😉
I’ve had my new iMac 21.5″ for about a month now and absolutely love it! Didn’t know you got one as well!
They’re nice aren’t they! Margaret’s had the previous 24″ model more than a year and loves it … I still run many PC programs, but Parallels / VMWare is so good now, I’d like to see an(other) iMac in my future!
