Restarting the fish pond

While I’m back “home” through the weekend, I’ve taken the opportunity to restart the fish pond, as it’s getting quite green now! It consists of pumping out all the unwanted water from the filter tanks, re-installing the pump and UV light, restarting the pump and checking for leaks, and topping up the pond (with chemicals to protect the fish from everything in Gloucester’s tap water!)
The finished result is just as nice as it was last summer:

Here’s a few “restart” pictures, when the pump started running, sucking down the pond water level, filling the main filter tank, and restarting the waterfall:

I also cut down the grass plants behind the fish pond, cut the lawn, and trimmed a few other plants – after calling Margaret to check, of course!
