Florida gets lots of rain in the summer, as moisture laden air from the Atlantic or Gulf meets – often in the center of Florida, and near to us. We’ve seen an inch or two added to the pool but now this week, we’ve had more than three inches and even after Margaret emptied some last night, the water now has reached the rim which I guess is as high as it can go!
Here was yesterday which added a couple of inches:
And now this evening, as high as it can fill!
Impressive!
I thought your pool was completely covered, so how has the rain got in?
I think it’s just screened over for bugs.
That’s correct, Robert.
Mum, the mesh screen keeps out insects and lets air circulate – rain also, obviously.
A solid enclosed glass structure would be unbearably hot, and destroyed by the first hurricane!
